The ADVENT Of Christ

In the fifth and final message of our ADVENT sermon series, “The Advent of Christ,” Pastor Thomas proclaims the heart of Christmas from John 1:4–5 during our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

John reminds us that in Christ was life—and that life was the light of men. This message centers on the truth that Jesus did not simply arrive to improve our circumstances, but to shine light into our darkness. His light overcomes sin, despair, and death, and the darkness has not—and will not—overcome it.

As we conclude the Advent season, this sermon calls us to behold Christ Himself: the Light who entered the world, the Life who brings hope, and the Savior who came near. It is a reminder that Christmas is not just a moment to celebrate, but a reality that continues to shape our lives.
